Who Are Ya?
Heyo! I'm Luanna, or some may know me as LD, if you've been around for a while. I am a variety furry artist and a hobbyist music producer who makes VGM remixes. I play a lot of video games that inspire both forms of art I make.I've always been passionate about music, rather it be from random CDs, during my time in band class, or rocking out to video game music. I eventually started discovering my own taste in music genres with the use of the internet. I soon found out about software anyone could use to make music and began my journey to combine these interests.
Starting Out
I started my youtube channel around that same time in 2009. However, I was not the best at coming up with names, so in my haste, I came up with a conglomeration of my two favorite Pokemon at the time: Lugia and Dialga (LD for short).Later down the road, due to various circumstances, I had to change my handle name. I already go by the nickname "Luanna" in other communities, but the handle name was already taken on Youtube. I tried to hastily rectify this by adding the Pokedex number "249" at the end for the URL.
A lot of ups and downs in life had led me to taking a break from making music for a long while, but my passion never died. Now I am trying to reconnect with all of my interests so that I may continue my music journey, striving for improvement along the way.
What do you use?
I primarily use my own copy of FL Studio (All Plugins Edition). I also have an AKAI MPK mini that I plan to use more once I have the space. I am also looking at getting a few hardware synths and/or ROMplers when possible.What about VSTs/ect?
Sylenth1, Spire, Korg M2, Amigo Sampler, stock FL plugins, a handful of old deprecated VSTs, and a growing collection of random samples/soundfonts/ect.For Art and Videos?
I draw all of the artwork that is presented on my accounts and in the presentation of my music, unless stated otherwise! I draw in a few different programs, depending on the mood, such as: Clip Studio Paint, SAI, Krita, and DrawPile.Furry?
Yes. That does not affect the music I make, silly! Just the presentation. I'm just here to have fun! Now, you will see myself depicted through the artwork of a few personal characters, or "fursonas".If you're curious, the main ones that may appear are a lugia (LD), raptor-shaped kaiju (Luanna), moogle (Lu), or an MLP pony/dragon (Low-Definition). I am simply more comfortable and have more fun drawing creatures instead of humans. :P
